Celebrating Art & Community

The Cambridge Arts Council is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to organizing, sponsoring, and supporting artists and performances and presentations of various forms of art. We aim to encourage a wider appreciation and understanding of the arts in our community through art education projects.

We have received funding from the Town of Cambridge as well as contributions from area businesses and individuals. In 2021, we received a Covid19 Cultural Recovery Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) via the Vermont Arts Council. In April 2023, we received a Creative Futures Grant from the Vermont Arts Council. We welcome donations of time, money, and expertise in our quest to enrich our community through the arts. We would also like to encourage artists of all kinds to get involved with the council.

The Cambridge Arts Council worked with the Sarah Rutherford (Artist) & the Vermont Arts Council (Funding) in 2015 and 2016 to create the two murals on Route 15 in Jeffersonville, VT. We hosted the Festival of The Arts, an August sidewalk art show, from 2009 - 2019. We now partner with Visions of Vermont and the Bryan Memorial Gallery to host the Jeffersonville Art Jam - a series of weekend events in June & July. We also sponsor or co-sponsor the following events: Smugglers’ Notch Heritage Winterfest, July 4th Celebration, the Halloween Photo Booth, Poetry People, VT Humanities programming, miscellaneous concerts and live entertainment events.

Latest News Today’s Art Jam has been canceled due to inclement weather. The Sunday Rain Date is also cancelled due to predicted thunderstorms. Sorry for the inconvenience, we will try again next Saturday (June 29)
